What is Community Transport?

Community Transport offers you a way to get to important places that you might be finding a bit of a challenge. We may be able to give you a lift to get your shopping done, or to get to a medical appointment, even a social outing. We can offer to help out through the use of our community bus or car, a volunteer driver service, a Taxi Voucher Scheme or private bus contractors.

Who can get a lift with Tablelands Community Transport?

You can get a hand from Community Transport if you are living independently in the community and are:

  • Permanently or moderately disabled
  • Frail aged
  • The carer of one of these people
  • Have trouble with transport

If you live in Armidale Regional, Uralla or Walcha Shires, and are interested to find out if Community Transport can give you a hand, give us a call and have a chat to our friendly staff to see if we can help out.

All people wanting to access services are now required to register their need for service with a central gateway ‘My Aged Care’.

From this registration process, My Aged Care will organise for a person from a local Regional Assessment Service (RAS) to contact you and complete an assessment of your needs and they will then refer you to the service providers who can help you.

If you want to use any of the services provided by Tablelands Community Transport, you will need to let the Regional Assessor know that you want to be referred to us and they will put the referral directly to TCT.

To make a referral (for yourself or another person) through My Aged Care click here.
